Hi, I’m Terry Whitworth—an author, educator, and entrepreneur from North Carolina. For over 21 years, I’ve poured my heart into running Kids Cabin LLC, a childcare home that has been honored with community awards and recognitions. My passion for teaching children inspired me to write my first book, A Shape-Filled Adventure, which brings learning and fun together in creative ways.
Beyond children’s books, I create journals and planners to encourage women to practice self-care, grow in faith, and stay motivated in their goals. Writing allows me to connect with families, educators, and readers in a meaningful way, and my hope is that every page I create sparks imagination and inspiration.
My Story
I started my books and journals/planners business from my childcare business. The name of my family childcare business is Kids Cabin LLC. I would give my mothers of my childcare home a self-care gift once a month. One particular month, I wanted to do something extra special so I created “Minding My Business” planner. This was for them and also myself. I wanted us to take charge and conquer our goals! This yearly planner is your go-to tool for ultimate organization, offering everything you need to plan, track, and crush your ambitions! I enjoyed it so much, I decided to continue making journals/planners to sell on amazon, pop-up shops, women conferences, business expos and more.
The money I make from my planners/journals goes right back into Kids Cabin. Kids Cabin adopts Cancer Patients every Christmas by purchasing gifts for them and their families through hospice, help veterans, give book bags to students for school, our Enrichment Summer Program, childcare students and lots of community activities we are involved in.
